11. LOCAL BIOMETRIC ENROLLMENT, DATA RETENTION AND FACE DATA
To ensure the highest accuracy and security for presence reporting, our application performs a local identity verification by capturing the user's face image four (4) times during the enrollment or authentication process. These images are captured and stored strictly within the application's private sandbox locally on the user's device and are used solely for real-time authentication to validate the presence record. No biometric data or facial images are ever transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, or stored in any cloud environment; our servers only receive a simple Boolean result (success or failure) from the local device authentication. All locally stored face data is managed exclusively by the device's operating system and will be automatically and permanently deleted if the user uninstalls the application from their device.
12. FACE DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
Storage Duration: Facial reference data is stored locally on your device for a maximum period of 30 days. After this period, the local reference data is automatically purged, and the user must perform a new facial registration to continue using the attendance feature.
Purpose of Retention: This 30-day retention serves to maintain a secure and accurate baseline for identity verification. We enforce a 30-day refresh cycle to ensure the biometric data remains current with the user’s physical appearance, preventing outdated data from compromising the integrity of the "Ritual of Intent" and attendance logs.
On-Device Privacy: All facial data is strictly local. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. This ensures that the user maintains complete sovereignty over their biometric information.
Ephemeral Processing: Daily attendance validation scans are processed ephemerally in real-time. These scans are used for immediate identity verification and are discarded from volatile memory immediately after processing; they are never saved to disk or transmitted to any server.
Data Deletion: Users have total control. All facial data is permanently and immediately purged from local storage if the user utilizes the "Delete User Profile" feature within the app settings, when the 30-day retention cycle expires, or when the application is uninstalled.
